Hardwick Wood.

I was browsing through my photos and thought I would post some pictures from last April. Hardwick Wood in Plymouth had a stunning amount of Bluebells.  I remember walking through the woods and listening to a cacophony of bird song and being surrounded by bluebells. I went back a few weeks later to find the…

The River Erme

We went for a walk in some woods near Wonwell Beach and noticed the tide was out in the Erme Estuary.  We went for a walk up the estuary. I am not sure how far we could have walked but we went a fair way and took these pics along the way.

Sunset at Lansallos. Kernow South Coast.

I went to check out a small campsite at Lansallos. I intend to start using our new Bell tent soon and Lansallos seems like a good site for the first pitch. We decided to walk down to the cove and watch the sunset and take a few pics.

South Devon coast path. Coleton Fishacre

A few pictures from a walk along part of the South Devon coast path. This part of the coastal path was near to Coleton Fishacre. I took these pictures last November but I am a bit slow on putting my pics up on WordPress!

Merrivale.

A short walk around the stone rows and cysts at Merrivale. I took the photo of the largest standing stone, which is in the South, at exactly 12.00 with the sun directly above it casting a perfect shadow.

Autumn at Burrator.

I posted pictures a couple of months ago of some walks I have done around the popular Burrator area of Dartmoor.  I have recently gone back to see the Autumn colours in the trees. The colours were beautiful as was the walk through the carpet of mainly Oak leaves that covered the paths. Wonderful to witness the…

Rocky Valley

A walk from a couple of months ago on the North Coast of Cornwall. Woods,  coast and the famous Labyrinth carvings

A Walk to Golitha Falls.

A short walk in the woods next to the River Fowey to Golitha Falls. Lovely little walk which was clearly very popular with families and dog walkers. Unfortunately our Sat-Nav, which we did not need on this walk anyway was in my pocket and fell into the River. A rather expensive loss.

Walking the West Devon Way

I regularly walk around Plymbridge Woods which is a very popular place for dog walkers and cyclists. It is part of the West Devon way; Hooe to Oakhampton, 37 miles in total. I decided to walk from my home in Plymstock to Clearbrook on Roborough Down near the edge of the Dartmoor and then back…

Celebrating Beltane.

A tad late posting these pics! We had a very busy week during Beltane. We had a ritual in Duloe Stone Circle in Cornwall. A sacred wells walk also in Cornwall. Camped out on the moor so we could be up to see the sun rise at Beltane and watch the Beltane Border Morris perform…

More Dartmoor Pics from 2015; A woodland walk.

I have thousands of pics from Dartmoor. Its my favourite place. I have a deep connection to the moor. No matter what the season or conditions I always feel at home there, connected to it, peaceful and often energised. I love the open moor and also the woodland and river walks. Here are a few…
